Settings

When to use

Settings in Workflowy give you control over how your workspace looks, behaves, and evolves.

From the Settings panel, you can change themes, enable keyboard shortcut hints, toggle daily email summaries, manage embeds, and try out experimental features via Workflowy Labs. It’s where you personalize your experience - whether you want a clean interface, advanced previews, or early access to new tools.

  2. Click the “Settings” option
  3. Toggle the “Send daily email summaries of changes to my account” option

Toggle labs features

Workflowy is constantly adding new features, those features are first tested in Workflowy labs. Workflowy labs is an experimental version of the web app, desktop app, and mobile app that lets the user turn on and use experimental features.

Please note: Features in labs are constantly being updated and changed so only use labs if you are comfortable with things changing and breaking.

Manage embed settings

Workflowy can display certain types of media inline when URLs for the media are pasted. When a supported URL is pasted, the content will automatically be displayed.

You can disable this automatic embedding by toggling the embed type off.

Workflowy currently supports the following embed types: • YouTube Videos • YouTube Shorts • Tweets / X posts • Loom videos

Remove the #copy from copies

By default, Workflowy adds a #copy to any item you duplicate using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+D.

You can disable this hashtag if you prefer.
