About this Template

Skip the word docs when crafting lesson plans. Workflowy's fractal boards make it dead-simple to carefully structure each lesson and restructure on the fly by dragging-and-dropping.

Using a fractal board to structure your lesson plans lets you see both the key questions and structure of the lesson side-by-side. If during the lesson you run out of time, you can simply drag that section and drop into the next class, no need to copy and paste across different files.

This simple lesson plan template gives each topic its own fractal board.

The ℹ️  Details column houses all the key information about the lesson such as the objectives, the purpose and a place for any links to supporting materials or files.

The 📄 Structure / Activity column is where the bulk of the lesson plan will go. This is where the main content and any supporting materials for that part will live.

The ✋ Key questions column serves to provide a guide not only when writing the lesson but also for the creation of a study guide.

Finally, the 🧠 Reinforcement section is where you can develop the homework assignment or list any readings that will serve to reinforce the lesson.

Remember that You can share any section of a Workflowy document so feel free to simply share the Reinforcement section with your students with view only permissions.

How to use the template

The bullet journal template has two main sections, the calendar, and the monthly '⏳ Future' sections.

The calendar - A long list of months with each month containing the days for that month. You'll add your tasks, notes and events under each day.

The future logs - Each month has a '⏳ Future' section that serves as a placeholder for activities that should be completed during that month but do not yet have a specific date.

The monthly log allows you to view all the events for a given month. You create this view by clicking on the bullet for the current month and then clicking on the star ⭐️ to save that view in the left hand sidebar.

The daily log allows you to quickly jump to today and work on the day's tasks and events, and add notes. You create this view by searching for 'Today' in the menu bar and then clicking on the star ⭐️ to save that view in the left hand sidebar.
