# When to use

**Quick Capture** lets you instantly save text or links to your Workflowy inbox from anywhere using a simple keyboard shortcut. It's the fastest way to jot something down without opening the full app - perfect for capturing ideas on the fly.

# Capture text

1. Win+Alt+N**(Windows) or **Opt+Cmd+N** (Mac)
2. Paste the text or link you want to capture
3. Press save

# Enable or disable quick capture

You can enable and disable the quick capture keyboard shortcut from the window settings (location depends on your operating system).
