--- { "title": "Bullet types", "intro": "Learn how to create headings, paragraphs, to-do's, and more." } --- # When to use Bullet types in Workflowy let you give special meaning to your bullets. You can mark a bullet as a **task**, **note**, or **event**, helping you quickly distinguish what’s actionable vs informational. They also work with filters - so you can instantly view all your tasks or just your events across your entire outline. It’s a lightweight way to add structure without losing the fluidity of your thinking. # Paragraphs & headings Turning a bullet into a header or a paragraph hides the bullet but you can access it by moving your mouse over the text. {% kb_image src="https://uploads-ssl.webflow.com/608aecd1e643ecaa961a7a67/66a7b992d5064fb13c0ead7f_662c559629d45f08ffb4d0a7_660c82de52d1ccd9fcecc76e_paragraphs%2520and%2520headings.gif" alt="" %}{% /kb_image %} {% steps %} 1.
